Tipbet Sportsbook Review

Tipbet was founded as a land based sports betting offering in Germany in 1995, but has seen significant growth online over the later part of their lifetime. Tipbet acquired a Maltese licence in 2014, which has seen them establish themselves as an emerging powerhouse in the European gambling industry.

ODDS QUALITY

The odds is one of the downsides of Tipbet. It’s just not very good on average, but on the big leagues they often manage to keep up. There are of course, like everywhere else, opportunities to exploit poor lines, but they aren’t abundant. You should still have an account here to take advantage of them when they do come up.

BONUSES AND LOYALTY

Tipbet’s welcome bonus is quite generous; in fact, it is tailored to your needs. You can choose between the following:

  • 200% up to €50
  • 100% up to €100

This means you can choose to take a smaller bonus, but with a higher percentage, or choose what is quite an industry standard 100%.

The bonus turnover requirements are varied by country, but generally, the 100% bonus needs to be turned over 5 times, while the 200% bonus has to be turned over 12 times.

These are quite high turnover requirements, but it’s far from impossible.

In addition to the Welcome Bonus, Tipbet regularly gives the players free bets, as well as different campaigns, such as the accumulator insurance “No One Loses”, which can give you up to €100 back if one of your selections lose.

SELECTION OF SPORTS AND MARKETS

You will find nearly everything you can want at Tipbet, but the number of niche markets within games is a bit lacking, if that’s the sort of thing you’re looking for. That said, most markets people bet on are well represented. Live betting is also quite well represented if that’s your thing.

Horse racing is nowhere to be found, as are some non-European niche sports, but there is a separate eSport section, which should please a lot of people.

If you want something else than just sports betting, there is a casino, live casino and virtual betting.

LOOK AND FEEL

The look is that of a bit older type of sportsbook. It’s clean, intuitive, but it doesn’t look particularly nice anyway. We believe this is the sort of interface you will grow to understand and appreciate, because it is very easy to use.

LICENCES

Tipbet holds the following licence:

  • Malta

This, unfortunately, means that Tipbet is not available to the UK at the moment, but with the growth they’re seeing, it’s inevitable that they will acquire a licence at some point in the near future.

The Maltese licence is highly regarded and should make any European gambler feel safe here. If anything should happen, you are well protected.

OTHER INFORMATION

All in all, Tipbet offers a lot of advantages to the customer. Odds might not be the best at all times, but there are definitely lines here you can take advantage of. We are backing them because they do have what most people are looking for, even if it won’t please everyone’s needs.
